Let's Talk Pillows
When you think of getting healthy, you think of getting in the gym and eating right. There is so much more to it, like drinking plenty of water. But most of us forget one of the most important things (I am very guilty of it.). Which is getting enough sleep. We are supposed to get at least 8 hours of sleep a night, I am lucky if I get 1/3 of that amount.
I think that lack of sleep has to do something with the way you sleep, and what you are sleeping on. Not only that, the maintenance with put on our beds; First are you checking your mattress for replacement about every five to seven years? Are you turning and flipping your matters every three months? Are you looking for broken springs, and lumps and dents?
Getting a good night sleep is also about the pillow you sleep on, my husband and I just changed our pillows out. We got tired of waking up with headaches and cricks in our neck, not to mention restless nights. There are plenty of pillows out there on the market, but to be honest, we were tired of looking. Our chiropractor had pillows on display in his office, so we purchased two and decided to give them a try.
After all what could it hurt, the only thing you have to do is fill them with water to the amount you feel comfortable with. So far so good, last night was our second night sleeping on these pillows. Let’s see if the third night is a charm, my nights have not been as restless so far. I feel refreshed in the morning, however I still need to work on my sleep habits. I do not go to bed at a decent hour and I wake up ridiculously early. One step at a time!!! How are you sleeping at night?
