Minor Setback for a Major Comeback
This past week has been a very trying time for me; I went from being perfectly fine to dog sick, in one day. I hate being sick, and I hate when I am sick to the point I have to slow down and sleep. Everyone who knows me, knows that my life is full of moving, doing, and making things happen, this week however, I was knocked off my feet. I have never slept so much in my life, and I cannot tell you that I have never felt as miserable, as I did, because that would be a lie. After a day and a half of suffering and my family trying to get me to go to the doctor, I finally gave in. I had exactly what I thought I had Sinusitis, acute, maxillary, in other words a really bad sinus infection. I had fluid backed up behind both my ears, which was making me dizzy and fatigue, and causing really bad headaches, face pressure and difficulty breathing, (Thank God it did not affect my asthma).
I could not eat because of a sore throat (I ate popsicles and Jell-O), I could not taste my food, and my eyes were running nonstop. What a very bad way to start a four day weekend, not to mention I had plans for Saturday and I already had my $50 ticket. I ended up with a Steroid shot (Which stung like hell for the next two hours and my arm is still sore 4 days later), some cough meds, and antibiotics. I can say that by that night, I did feel a little relief and by the next morning I could breathe. I still could not taste my food, but my throat was not hurting anymore and who needs to taste their food to survive. lol!!!! I did make it to the concert I brought a ticket to and had a good time, however it poured down raining after the last act, Minor setback.
I can say that I am finally getting rid of the infection in my body and feeling much, much better, besides I have work tomorrow. So for tonight I will be pampering myself, and enjoying the fact that I feel more like myself, and that all is not loss. I did manage to get a few things done this weekend, but not much. Two papers written and turned in, discussion questions done, Quiz taken and one more paper due tomorrow night. So here’s to me, my salt lamp, and a nice bath bomb (from Lush) for my bath tonight, along with my Lavender & Rosemary vapor for my humidifier and some Green Tea. Have a blessed night all, I know I will.
