Problems are like annoying guest
Life can tend to make you feel like you’re spiraling out of control, with all the struggles that's thrown your way. You take one step forward and life will push you two steps back, which is overwhelming, and stressful at the same time. That is when I must take a deep breath, take a walk and clear my mind. It is time to re-focus, re-think, re-plan, and reorganize my mind. I do this by first pray, them meditate, then I start with fixing the things that I can and not stressing over the things I cannot.
I find that when I let thing stress me out, I get overwhelmed and I can’t seem to focus. So, what works for me is to set mini goals to fix the problem, and work on a plan to meet each of those goals. I am not one to ask for help, and I know that I should. But sometimes I feel that asking for help can sometimes make the problem bigger. So, if I feel help will not hinder what I am trying to do, I will ask for it otherwise I work on my plans without it.
Clearing your mind is the most important, (besides prayer) step, you cannot do anything with a bogged down mind. It’s like trying to concentrate in a cluttered space, it does not work and it causes stress. Thinking and staying positive is a very big step, you can do anything with a positive outlook. Remember that everything is a process and cannot be solved overnight. Problems don’t always stay problems, unless you do nothing to fix them. I think of a problem as an annoying house guest, if you make them uncomfortable long enough, they will eventually leave.
