Blessing others will bless you
When you are left with a decision to help someone who is in need, but you don’t really believe that, this person is doing everything in their power to help themselves what do you do? I have learned that if you know the person is in need you help them out, you have done your part, because you have been blessed to be in a situation to help. I’m not necessarily talking about monetary help; it could be clothing, household goods, food, or just a friendly ear to listen to and good advice to help them move forward. The thing is there are so many selfish people in this world that would rather throw things away, sell things when they don’t need the money, but just don’t want tohelp those in need, or just hoard it because they don’t want to help when they are not get anything out of it. But you are getting something out of it, it may not be monetary, but you are being blessed, by blessing some else, the feeling of self-worth when you extend a helping hand, and the pleasure of seeing someone’s face light up just to have what they cannot afford and what they really need. If you get burnt and this person is not in need of what they say they are, guess what you are not the one they have to answer to when it’s all said and done. God has a plan for you and if you do not move in the direction he is leading you in, you will miss what is meant for you. Stop being selfish just because you can, give and you shall receive.
